Konel Corp. Brochure Describes New Solid-State Sideband
Konel Corporation has introduced a new totally solid-state 2-9 mHz sideband: the SSB-1022. This radio has been tailored to fulfill the communications needs of the medium-distance traveler: that boat traveling beyond reliable VHF coverage but less than truly worldwide range.
The SSB-1022 delivers a true 130 watts of solid talkpower anywhere in the 2-9 mHz range. The exciter and receiver are completely broadbanded for easy programming in the field. Built-in over-temperature and antenna-fault protection ensure long life and reliability.
A simple yet very versatile antenna coupler is built-in, along with a VSWR bridge for fast onboard tune up.
Up to 22 simplex (using A /B switch) or 11 half-duplex channels are available to cover virtually all needs. The sensitive highdynamic range receiver can handle the weakest to the strongest signals with equal ease. Like all Konel products, the SSB-1022 is designed and built for rugged, demanding commercial duty and is covered by Konel's unique traveling "lifeline" warranty. A comprehensive brochure containing detailed specifications on the new SSB-1022 can be obtained by writing William Dupre, Konel Corporation, 271 Harbor Way, South San Francisco, Calif. 94080.
